We built this review policy to maintain complete transparency about how we test, score, and verify every radio transmitter on our bench and at the flying field.

Every radio reviewed on GimbalPulse undergoes structured bench analysis and extensive field flight time divided among our core editorial specialists:
- RF Output and Stick Precision: Marcus Vance tests packet-rate consistency, internal ExpressLRS RF output power stability, and gimbal sensor jitter across Hall effect and potentiometer assemblies using oscilloscope and telemetry logging.
- Ergonomics and Durability: Chloe Sterling conducts multi-hour flight sessions to evaluate hand fatigue for both pinchers and thumb pilots, checking switch reachability, case balance on neck straps, and drop resistance across box and gamepad shells.

What "Recommended" Means on GimbalPulse
We do not hand out recommendations lightly. For a radio transmitter to earn our endorsement, it must satisfy strict baseline standards during real-world FPV flying:

Product Sourcing and Editorial Independence
We source the vast majority of our test units through standard retail purchases to guarantee we test the exact same hardware consumers receive. When a manufacturer provides an early production sample for technical evaluation, we disclose this clearly in the review. Loaned hardware never guarantees a positive score, and manufacturers have zero preview or approval rights over our published findings.
